“She opens her mouth in wisdom, and the teachings of kindness is on her tongue.”
Imagine if you could actually see every word that left your mouth. You could see the tone of which the word was spoken, the intent behind it and the affect it has. You could look at people and see the words you spoke in the past that were still present with them. You could see the wounds your words caused or the wounds they healed. Or what if people could see your words floating around you, even if they were not there to hear them spoken.
If we could see our words, I think we would be more cautious about which ones we used. But of course this is not reality. Therefore, we have to be intentional about speaking positivity. Speaking words of wisdom rather than foolishness. Building people up rather than tearing them down.
Although we can’t see our words, the impact they have on people and in life are very real. They have the power to influence others and they can influence the way we see things.
Do your words speak life or death? Wisdom or foolishness?
Ask God to give you words that can speak life. If you find yourself always complaining or saying negative things, try praying about those things and finding positive words to speak instead.
